September, 2002: Maltby Meet

This months meet was at Maltby. Started out with a meet up at SpeedLine for a train up to the meet with a total of three cars. Geo showed up to see us off and managed to nab some pics of us before we left. There was a hint of rain in the air mixed with heavy Sunday traffic on the way up. We arrived at the meet with only two cars. lost one due to the heavy traffic, but they caught up at the meet, also a new member Joe showed up. At the meet we caught up on what's been happening. Started to rain so we went for cover at the Maltby Cafe, but they were packed so we went for some pizza next door. Those who attended this time were Sandra and Tracy, David, Joe and friend, Brent and Daryl. After the pizza we went on a fun run despite not really knowing the good roads to take and rain. Determined to see some twisties on the last portion of summer we went for some gas and bought a map of the area. Then we took some votes on what route would be the best to take. The route that we took had lots of hairpins, chicanes, hills and s-turns through hills and forests which eventually led down into some long straight away along farms and into downtown Monroe where we stopped for a quick break before heading back down to Tacoma to stop by Geo's to look at some of the pics that we took during the day.
