March, 2004: Champs Karting Meet

We had our latest meet this time at Champs Kart Racing in Seattle and it was a blast. 7 cars showed up for it. Lots of information on what's been going on was passed along. After greeting everyone we went in to register for karting. After being told it would be an hour or so wait we decided to get something to eat, so we went down the street to Arby's. Mike talked about his new project which was a paddle shifter along with a electronic clutch engaging/disengaging package. Bonnie is working on a repaint of her car through a school project. Pete just did an engine swap in his car (great job Pete). Tyler (his first meet with us) just added a Eibach Pro-Kit to lower his car, with APC molded bucket seats and some engine dress ups to his car with much more to come. Darren got a raise at his new job along with his father getting a new job. Andrew even stated he is looking into getting a Sol maybe. Now then for the kart runs: Great race folks, lots of power sliding around the corners with the track controller turning down one racers power a bit following that 180 hairpin corner (I couldn't see who it was, but thought it was Mike). Mike came in first with a close second by Tyler followed by Bonnie and Thomas right behind them, with a 3.5 second difference between first and last. place. Not bad people. After the racing we talked some about the coming April meet and finished up at 3:30. Jason was the meet generator for this months meet. And welcome to Tyler for his first meet with us.
