June, 2002: Salt Water Park Meet

A most beautiful day for a meet this time around after the mild rainy type weather that's happened at the past few meets. We had 7 Sols show this time. Rolled in at a little before noon from training up from Tacoma, Rob and Darren were waiting for us. We all got out and started checking everybodys cars out and asking what's been happening with everyone this past month, as we did that Justin and Kevin rolled up. Rob cracked everyone up by asking where was Bill when we needed him (You had to be at the last meet we had here at Salt Water Park last year to know the full story on that). Jeff and I showed off the rear JDM fillers we had put in, also Jeff had installed his one piece headlights along with the Euro fog/running lights, boy are those puppies bright with running H4 bulbs, they were talked about and checked out by all. Jeff also brought some stickers for us to put on the rear window for everyone to advertise the Team Sol of Washington club and site, thanks Jeff. After a bit we all put some money in the pot and went to get some food for the barbecue. We found out that Fred Meyers 'Match Light' don't work that great when trying to start it with the wind blowing. Due to a kind gentleman with a blow torch, he was a plumber by the way, we got the coals started. Geo and his wife and Rob cooked this outing for everyone, so I didn't get a lot of pictures as I was too busy with the food preparations. Lot of folks were looking over the cars. On a side note, "Hey Darren your's wasn't the only car to attract the birds this time out, he-he." Members in attendants this meet were: Brent, Darren, Geo and Mae, Jeff, Justin, Kevin, Rob and Robert and Krissy (Friends of Brent's that came down with him). All in all a great get together. -Geo
