February, 2004: Fix A Sol Meet

With this being a new year and the first meet of it, thought we would try something a little different this time around with a 'Fix-it' meet and it worked out great. We all met up at SpeedLine. 9 Sols showed up with two new members and one 2002 Civic SI that came with Jon. Started with greeting everyone and taking some pictures. Jon noted one of my tires was low, I had picked up a screw, I would guess from the portable carport that had blown over just outside the entrance to SpeedLine. Dropped my car off at home and went with Pete back to the meet, from there we went to Arbeys to get some lunch. Continued with finding out the latest news from everyone and what they've been up to these past few months. Darren and his friend left us after eating to see Brian (a past member of the club) as we were getting ready to go to Geo's house for the 'Fix-It' part of the meet. Once there more pictures were taken along with checking out every ones rides. On the Fix-it, Bonnie was first up with learning how to do her first oil change with some assistant from Aaron and Geo, by the way you did great Bonnie. From there Aaron and Jon did the trunk leak fix along with Aaron doing an oil change too. Jason also brought some stickers he had made for the rear window to advertise the club available and use part of the proceeds made to pay for the web site. We finally closed down at 6 pm. Over all an excellent meet, it worked out perfect on the weather, it didn't rain and the sun was out. A big welcome to our new members and thanks to the rest of our members that came this month. The roll call the Feb. 04 meet: Aaron (from Oregon), Bonnie, Brian (2002 Civic SI), Darren and his friend, Chris (from Idaho), David, Geo, Jason, Jon, Pete, and Thomas.
