February, 2003: New Castle Beach Park Meet with Honda TechThis months meet was held at New Castle Beach Park. I would like to take this time to thanks Josh Mackey for inviting us to meet up with the Honda-Tech group. The Tacoma group members trained up and arrived at New Castle at about 11:30 or so with the other members from the Seattle area of our group getting there a few minutes later. As we were waited for everyone to arrive we got to know and meet with our host Josh. Shortly after that the Honda-Tech group started arriving and by 12:30 to 1:00 pm the parking lot started filling up with every imaginable model and year Honda made it seemed, many hybrid cars along with lots of blowers and one supercharged car. There must have been more than 75+ cars, so the parking lot was over flowing and some were parked along the roadway that lead to the park. It was fantastic just to look at all of the peoples cars that came. Everyone was very open to any questions that were asked about their cars. Even Paul was there with his new SCCA runner, boy did he strip that car to the bare bone with a full roll cage and it gives the Corvettes and others a run for their money with a Honda (he stated theyve asked him many times what hes running for a motor and just shake their heads when he says its a four banger). We then left to go to Dennys to get a bite to eat and then we then drove over to Park Place Ltd. to check out some dream cars, (Darren you can have the Bentley Azure convertible but I have dibbs on the Bentley Continental GT, fat chance!). Everyone had a great time and I would hope Josh will invite Team Sol of Washington to the next one he sets up. Those in attendance this month were: Brent, Carrie, Darren, David and his friend Taymour, Geo, Pete and Sandy. As for the delay on getting this up this month, I had 40+ pictures to go though and choose from this month. Wish I could have put all of them up. - Geo Pictures this month were provided by Brent, Taymour and myself, Geo, thanks guys for sharing them |
