August 10th, 2003: Malby 'Fun Run' Meet

Well after all the hot, dry weather we've been having here, it had to rain for this month's meet and we're not just talking rain, it even hailed. Anyway David and I met up at SpeedLine and after waiting for a bit trained up to the meeting point in Maltby, when we got there Darren, Andrew and Mike were waiting for us, with the rest of the group showing up shortly after that. While we were waiting for the rain to stop everyone checked out each others cars and talked about whats been happening since the last time they've seen each other. After about an hour it started clearing up enough so we could proceeded with the 'Infamous Maltby Run'. It wasn't quite as much fun as it usually is because of it being so wet but it did impress the people that hadn't done the 'Run' before. After the run we stopped and ate at the Pizza Eatery as we've done at the previous meets held in Maltby. Total cars this meet, 7 cars with 10 people in attendant. Those who made it this month: Carrie with her boyfriend (didn't get his name written down), Andrew who came with Darren, David, Geo, Drew who came with Julie, Mike and last but not least Thomas.
