Tools needed:

Parts needed:

1-You can start with putting the plugs and pig tails together. Plug pig tail into plug end, using two outside holes only, leaving the middle one empty. Make two of these. Start with sliding a small piece of skrink tubing over one of the wires, solder one of the pig tails to the fuse holder. Finish with skrinking the skrink tubing. On the other wire/pigtail add a wire end/end to it. Repeat for other plug. It will not matter which is power for the plug wiring. Put a 15 amp fuse in the holder at this time.

2-Remove your door panel by removing the three screws from the panel. First screw is at the front of the door panel, remove it along with the plactic retainer, next one is under the door handle/closer, pop of the round cover with a small flat screwdriver and remove the screw. The last screw is hidden under the small plastic tab in the door lock assembly, lift the tab at the back to get at the screw. Remove the holding clips from the door lock assembly that holds the rod and cable to it and set aside. Pull door panel off by grabbing at the bottom and pulling out and lifting up at the back first. Unplug the wiring to the door panel. Repeat for other side.

3-Take door handle assembly and remove the two screws holding the white plastic panel and cable clip on the back side and remove, push out/remove the plastic cover from the front of the assembly, this is where the map light will fit. Keep the two screws they will be used later.

4-Now you will have to flatten two of the tabs on the cable bracket so it will fit flat against the door sheet metal. Now comes the mounting of the cable bracket, it mounts 1 7/8 inch back from the rear mounting hole for the door handle with the top/flat part of the bracket level with the top of the hole, mark the two holes in the bracket and drill small holes for the screws you saved before and attach to the top hole in the bracket to door frame. Snap the cable into the bracket.

5-Attach the wire end/eye from the wiring with other screw at this time to the bracket. Attach the other wire using the tap to the wire suppling power to the power window (Orange wire). Plug in the map light. Now you can try your light out to make sure everything works (the way mine work you have to turn the key on to get power to them). If not check your work over.

Here is a picture of the cable clipped on the bracket.
The second picture is of the finished wiring.

6-Replace door panel at this time. Reverse instructions from #2

7- With the door panel back on with making sure the plug is hanging out the hole for the door lock assembly. Plug the connector to the maps. Attach the cable and rod to the back of door lock assembly and replace back in door panel. You are now done with the install on the one side, repeat for the other side. Try the lights out, if they work your done, if not check your work for bad connections, etc.

Enjoy your new maps.
