This is the problem, the handle won't stay in.
The problem is caused because of the spring coming out of a small hole in
the handle.
To fix the problem do the following...

1) Pry out the small cap and remove the screw behind it.
2) Detach the hooks holding the latch by sliding it forward.
Pull the handle out halfway and remove the rod and cable.
Now remove the latch so you can put the spring back in.

Now with the handle removed (See picture above in front of the lower clip
there is a small hole that the spring goes in).
Use needlenose pliers to put the spring back in, you may have to try a few times to get it in, so take your time.

This is how it should look with the spring installed.
Now its ready to put back in.
Put the handle partway in and attach the cable and then the rod.
After the rod and cable are attached push the handle back in and put the screw
in and push closed the cover cap.
Now your now done...
