Phillips screw driver and a short Phillips screw driver (3" max.). Remove the
center console. Seven screws in all. Unscrew the shift knob, take out?? the
ashtray, pull back the E-Brake. Start from the back and take out?? the components
once all screws are removed. Don't forget the screw?? inside of the storage
compartment. The radio/shifter part: make sure the?? radio door is UP; grab
each side near the screws and pull outward and up, it?? should just barely clear
the rest of the dash... be careful to not scratch?? the soft dash material.??
Don't loose the two clips that tighten the console to the dash. NOTE for Automatics:
I have?? no clue how they are assembled, or how to remove the handle.?? Most
likely there is a screw that secures the handle to the shaft.
STEP TWO: Remove the radio.?? Four screws in all. Disconnect the harness and antenna from behind once radio is pulled out a little. (Don't forget the security code if you have your stock deck in!)

STEP THREE: Unscrew the climate control.?? There is one screw, directly above where the radio was.
NOTE: You need a very short screw driver here. About 3" max. in length.

STEP FOUR: Unhook the temperature control cable. First, slide the temperature dial all the way to the right (heat).?? The cable is located near the center console on the passenger side. Unsnap the cable from the metal clip, then simply pull the eyehook off the spindle.
NOTE: On reinstallation, if the cable doesn't line up correctly with the spindle, push the spindle all the way back and sliding?? the temperature control all the way toward the heat. It should line up perfectly then.

STEP FIVE: Remove climate control. Feel around up top where the radio was with your hand, and push out the climate control from behind. Once its out far enough, unhook the brown connector. This is the fan control switch. Once that is taken out, keep trying to pull the climate control out further until the green connector (not pictured) is reachable. My trick is to pull the climate control out and as far left (driver side) as possible, making the green clip accessible from the passenger side. The button to remove the green connector is the bottom of the clip.

STEP SIX:?? Do what you came to do to your climate control. Once its out everything is clearly visible and easy to locate.?? There are a combination of screws and snaps that hold the plastic covers on, but if you don't force anything, they're all easy to take off.

Underneath the top black cover is a circuit board.
The fan switch knob and the temperature control knob?? just pull off.
The A/C switch is removable once the front cover is off.

This is where the two lights plug into. (Not the?? LEDs)

REINSTALLATION: Same procedure only backwards.
